HighCharts - Tree Maps

Tree maps are ideal for displaying large amounts of hierarchical (tree-structured) data. The area of each rectangle is proportional to its value, making it easy to compare parts of a whole.

Common variations and use cases for tree maps include:

Sr. No.Chart Type / Feature Description
1Basic Tree Map: Visualizes hierarchical data where rectangle size represents value.
2Tree Map with Color Axis: Uses color intensity or different hues to represent another dimension of the data (e.g., change percentage, category) in addition to size.
3Tree Map with Levels: Allows configuring different appearances or behaviors for different levels of the hierarchy (e.g., different border styles, data label formats).
4Large Data Sets: Optimized rendering for handling tree maps with a very large number of nodes.
5Drilldown: Enables interactive exploration by allowing users to click on a node to view its children in more detail.

These features allow for rich visualization and exploration of complex hierarchical datasets.
