HighCharts - Combinations

Combination charts integrate multiple chart types into a single visualization. This is useful for comparing different types of data or showing relationships between datasets with different scales or units.

Popular combinations include:

Sr. No.Combination Type / Description
1Column, Line, and Pie: Displaying primary data as columns, a trend as a line, and proportions as a pie chart (though combining pie with others in the same plot area can be complex and might be better as separate charts).
2Dual Axes (Line and Column): Comparing two datasets with different units or scales using two separate Y-axes (e.g., rainfall as columns, temperature as a line).
3Multiple Axes: Extending the dual-axis concept to include three or more Y-axes for comparing multiple datasets.
4Scatter with Regression Line: Technically a combination where a scatter plot (points) is combined with a line plot (regression line).
5Area and Line: Combining an area chart (e.g., range) with a line chart (e.g., average).

Creating effective combination charts requires careful consideration of data types and axis scaling.
