HighCharts - Angular Gauges

Angular gauges (also known as speedometer charts or dial charts) are used to display a single value within a given range, often representing a Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

Common types and features of gauge charts include:

Sr. No.Gauge Type / Description
1Standard Angular Gauge: A classic speedometer-style chart with a needle pointing to the current value on a circular scale.
2Solid Gauge: A more modern take, often using a colored arc to represent the value instead of a needle.
3Clock Example: Demonstrates using gauge features to create a functional analog clock.
4Gauge with Dual Axes: Displaying multiple scales or related values within the same gauge plot area.
5VU Meter Style: Mimics the appearance of audio Volume Unit (VU) meters.
6Customizable Bands: Defining color bands (plotBands) on the gauge’s axis to indicate ranges (e.g., low, medium, high; or green, yellow, red).

Gauges are particularly effective in dashboards for providing quick status updates.
