HighCharts - 3D Charts

Highcharts allows adding a three-dimensional perspective to several standard chart types, enhancing visual appeal and sometimes providing better insight into complex data structures, although care must be taken to avoid obscuring data.

To enable 3D charts, you typically need to include the highcharts-3d.js module and configure the chart.options3d settings.

Supported 3D chart variations include:

Sr. No.3D Chart Type / Description
13D Column: Adds depth to standard column charts. Can be stacked or grouped.
23D Pie: Presents the pie chart with a tilted, 3D perspective. Can also be applied to donut charts.
33D Scatter: Plots points in a 3D space, defined by x, y, and z coordinates.
43D Area: Adds depth to area charts (less common).
5Configurable View Angles: Allows adjusting the alpha (vertical rotation) and beta (horizontal rotation) angles for the 3D view.
6Depth Configuration: Control the perceived depth of the 3D effect.

While visually engaging, ensure that the 3D effect doesn’t hinder accurate data interpretation.
