ReactJS - Home

React is a powerful JavaScript library, maintained by Meta (formerly Facebook), for building user interfaces. It excels at creating interactive UIs for web and mobile apps by enabling developers to compose UIs from small, isolated pieces of code called ‘components.’ React’s declarative approach makes code more predictable and easier to debug. It’s a leading JavaScript library with a vast ecosystem and an active community.

This tutorial is for JavaScript developers new to ReactJS. We’ll introduce core concepts with clear explanations and simple code examples. Upon completion, you’ll have a solid foundation for building React applications. We’ll also cover complementary tools and practices aligned with modern JavaScript development, promoting efficient and maintainable React code.

A strong understanding of JavaScript (including modern ES6+ features like arrow functions, classes, let/const, and modules), HTML5, and CSS is essential. While React components use JavaScript, JSX—a syntax extension resembling HTML—makes HTML knowledge highly beneficial. Familiarity with Node.js and npm (or yarn) is also recommended for setting up a development environment.
